A Thief’s Daughter

Sara, 22, has just had a baby and wants to lead a normal life with her younger brother. After years of absence and a long period in jail, their father, Manuel, decides to suddenly reappear in their lives. Just as things start to get better for her, Sara will have to make the toughest decision of her life. She will need to ward off her father from her beloved ones or face the fear to start from scratch.

Graduated from ESCAC, and studied cinematography in Cuba. With experience as an assistant director, script writer, and casting director, she made her first short film, Sara a la Fuga . It won awards for the Best Director and Best Short Film at the 18th Malaga Film Festival.

Director’s Statement

What you are about to see is my first feature film. I made two shorts before, and it is a very special project for me.It’s a story about Sara, a very, very young, single woman, who is trying to survive and strive in her life in a modern and wild city called Barcelona.So I hope you like it, I hope you enjoy the film, and I hope we can see each other soon.Thank you very much for coming, take care, and stay healthy.
