NARAtive Kids Workshop

Through the "NARAtive" project, the Nara International Film Festival is committed to filmmaking set in Nara.

"NARAtive Kids Workshop" is also a filmmaking project, which targets specifically young children.
In fiscal 2011, we implemented the workshop in collaboration with Tsubai Primary School.
A lecturer was invited from New York, and 41 sixth-graders participated.
In the workshop held from May through July, we used skyp for the kids and the lecturer to communicate, and
in September, the lecturer visited Nara to actually make a film with the kids.

The completed project was first screened at PRE FIESTA 2011 (2011/9/17-19), on 17th and 19th at the playground of Tsubai Primary School and Naramachi Center City Hall, respectively.
