Based on the comic created by the "God of Manga" Osamu Tezuka, the animated "ASTRO BOY" series set the standard for Japanese animation and gave birth to the genre today known simply as anime. "ASTRO BOY : THE HERO OF SPACE" is a humble tribute consisting of three re-edited original episodes.
