Michael Labarca

マイケル・ラバルカはベネズエラ生まれ。社会学と演劇、映画製作を学び、これまでに複数の短編映画を監督。Slaves (2010) はミュンヘン映画学校国際祭（ドイツ）やSKENA UP国際学生映画演劇祭 （コソボ）で公式セレクションに選ばれ、Pigs（2010）は複数の国内映画祭で受賞。Resistance (2014)はコンチネンタル・マラソン・ベネズエラ映画祭にて受賞。フィクション・シリーズBarrio Surでは脚本と監督を担当している。2016年には卒業制作短編映画“The guilt, probably”がカンヌ映画祭のシネフォンダシオン部門で第三位受賞。
