Profile

Edmund Yeo (1984, Singapore) is a Malaysian filmmaker educated in Australia and now lives in Tokyo, Japan. He was the youngest Malaysian filmmaker ever invited for competition at the Venice Film Festival with his Japanese-language short "Kingyo" (2009). The following year, "Inhalation" (2010) won the Sonje Award for Best Asian Short Film at the Pusan International Film Festival. Last Fragments of Winter (2011) is his latest short film.

He also produced, co-wrote and edited Woo Ming Jin's films "Woman On Fire Looks for Water" (2009) and "The Tiger Factory" (2010). The Tiger Factory screened at Cannes Film Festival and received a special jury mention at the Tokyo International Film Festival.
