My name is Aoi Furukawa. This year I participated in the Nara International Film Festival for Youth as a staff member. I was delighted to be involved in the showing of films I love in my hometown, Nara. I almost can't believe I was given this opportunity on such short notice. Thank you so much, and please accept my best regards.
AOI FURUKAWA

I was born in Nara City in 2000 and graduated from Ichijo High School.
When I was a high school student, Naomi Kawase came to my school to shoot her short film “Parallel World.”
After appearing as an extra on the set, I became interested in filmmaking, whereupon
I enrolled in Toho Gakuen Film School in Tokyo and studied filmmaking for two years.
As my graduation project, I made the film “MY HOMETOWN.”
