Special Screenings
Section
We will screen five films recommended by, related to, or planned by people related to the NIFF.
We will have special screenings of films featuring or recommended by film people who have been connected with NIFF. These are selections of actors Masatoshi Nagase and Masaya Kato, and DJ Masao Nomura. We hope you enjoy the wide variety of films.
Masatoshi Nagase Selection
We will screen a film featuring Masatoshi Nagase, a regular in Naomi Kawase's films and a NARA-wave (student competition) juror at NIFF 2018.
Just the Two of Us
Shunsaku lost physical mobility in a motorcycle accident at a young age, and Hanae, who is blind, comes to be his helper. Shunsaku remains distant and it made Hanae irritated, but without the ability to see, she too has her own feelings of intense loss that she can't speak of.

We have an Italian Noir film recommended by Masao Nomura, who has participated in our talk sessions and been involved with the film festival.
Golden Men
Luigi, a postal security van driver, has a weakness for beautiful women. He dreams all the time about retiring early and move to Costa Rica.
