Dust and Ashes
An unknown face of Hae-su. On her way from the factory, she calls someone who doesn't answer. She doesn't answer a call from someone. She is planning a funeral for her mother who died suspiciously. All these people, questions, and stares. While her anxiety grows, can she keep her secret plan?

Park Hee-kwon
Park graduated from the Department of Newspaper Broadcasting at Woosuk University in 1997. He’s been a writer for various shows including Manners In Battle and The Flu. In 2011, he directed a short film My Neighbors, which criticized the high suicide rate in Korean society. Dust and Ashes is his feature debut.
Director’s Statement
A splendid capitalist society. However, in the darkness of the blind spot, there is a hopeless individual life, a destroyed family. And there is a collapsed social system and a state of bystanders. This is not only the reality of Korea. It is the reality of all of us.
